The Union of Women Associations of Heraklion Prefecture (UWAH), the ROOT and the University of Iceland (UoI) in the framework of the Active citizens fund programme and the development of Bilateral Relations and in the context of their continuous and successful collaboration since 2016, aim to accomplish the provision of mutual learning to professionals about the complicated and gendered nature of women’s homelessness and training them in trauma and gender-informed approaches to this issue. This objective is linked to the necessary scaling up of the above output of the project to the engaged stakeholders and policy makers level so as to make this knowledge infiltrate the state system on all levels.
