Open Bike

Starfish Foundation, an NGO from Lesvos and the NGO Solidaritetsforeningen Sjøstjerne from Norway cooperated for the project “Open Bike” on Lesvos, Greece. The aim was to promote urban cycling and general knowledge around the usage and maintenance of bicycles, engaging refugees and the local population. A volunteer trained bike mechanic from Norway completed a short-term internship and he was responsible for the multiple activities, such as workshops and bike classes, in order to strengthen the relationships between CSOs and other partners working in the bicycle sector, i.e. Lesvos Bicycle Club.
