APICCO – Community Based Art

The Vision of APICCO is a society that treats all of its members equally and provides access to education, artistic expression and creation, without discrimination, economic, social, age barriers, physical limitations and borders, ensuring an atmosphere of cooperation and expression for all.

Its goals are:
-the cultivation of social and life skills in individuals and groups who are excluded (imprisoned, formerly imprisoned, immigrants, PWD, unemployed, etc.) through education, artistic creation, training and work
-facilitating the access and engagement of all citizens with the Art of Theater and the artistic creation in general
-the psychological and physical empowerment of vulnerable individuals and groups
– raising public awareness on issues of social exclusion and prejudice

The objectives for achieving its goals are:
-the organization, planning, implementation of educational and artistic workshops and programs
-the production and promotion of independent cultural creation and creative expression
-the research, recording, evaluation and presentation of artistic programs carried out in Detention Centers
-the organization of events and actions of information and public awareness
-the discovery of, networking and cooperation with organizations, groups and individuals whose goals coincide with those of APICCO in Greece and abroad
