People Behind is a non-profit organization, founded in 2017. Its mission is to empower people 65+ through lifelong learning, digital education, intergenerational solidarity and volunteering. In 2019, organisation founded the University for the Elderly, after an exchange of good practices with institutions of London and Cyprus.

People Behind strives to create a society for all ages, following the EU directions goals for Healthy and Active Aging. Together with beneficiaries the organisation tries to create a world of greater solidarity and cooperation between generations and within them, a world that does not discriminate or consider people of “second class”, but offers equal opportunities to all.

The organisation has been cooperating since 2018 with support center Epikentro of ActionAid Hellas. It has also collaborated with the Friendship Clubs of Municipality of Athens, Innovathens, InterMediaKT, Health Allies and HIGGS. It has been supported by the Vodafone Foundation, the Robert Bosch Stiftung and the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation.
